In our interconnected world, English has become the global language of communication. This has blurred the lines between native speakers and so-called non-native speakers. From the Caribbean to the Africa to Asia, in this course, we will explore the many different varieties of English that people now use to communicate on a global scale. We will also examine the social ramifications of speaking a non-standard variety of English.
Please send an e-mail to vanessa.arnold@hu-berlin.de by Friday, 11 April to register for the course.
