Kursbeschreibung:
Die Studierenden haben grundlegende Kenntnisse über die Landschaftsökologie als Wissenschaftsdisziplin. Die Studierenden haben die Fähigkeit die grundlegenden abiotischen und biotischen Komponenten von Ökosystemen sowie die Wechselwirkungen zwischen diesen Komponenten prolemorientiert zu analysieren und zu bewerten. Die Studierenden haben die Fähigkeiten zu systemischem Denken und sind in der Lage wissenschaftliche Problemstellungen mit Hilfe von Konzeptmodellen zu bearbeiten. Die Studierenden können Primärliteratur erfassen, in Bezug setzen und kritisch hinterfragen.
Aufbauend auf diesen Grundkenntnissen werden konkrete Themen der Landschaftsökologie mit dem Schwerpunkt Stadtökologie bearbeitet, vorgestellt und diskutiert. Dabei werden die vorhandenen Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten angewendet und und verbessert.
Die Modulabschlussprüfung beinhaltet einen Vortrag zu einem Thema der Landschafts-/Stadtökologie und eine darauf aufbauende schriftliche Ausarbeitung in Form einer Hausarbeit.
Die Moodle-Site sowie das entsprechende Moodle Einschreibe-Passwort werden den eingeschriebenen Modulteilnehmerinnen und Modulteilnehmern vor Modulbeginn sowie in der ersten Veranstaltung kommuniziert.
Course Description:
The students have basic knowledge of landscape ecology as scientific discipline. The students are capable to analyse and evaluate the basic abiotic and biotic componenets of ecosystems and their interactions. The students are capable of systemic thinking and able to examine scientific questions using conceptual models. the students are able to assess and critically value primary literature.
Building on these basic skills, in depth topics of landscape and urban ecology are examined, presented and discussed. By doing so, the basic skills are applied and advanced.
The module´s final examn constists of a presentation on a focussed topic of landscape and urban ecology and a written elaboration on the topic based on the presentation.
The moodle-site and the respective enrollment-password will be communicated to the participants before the module starts as well as in the first module session.
